GUWAHATI: A class X student was injured while allegedly trying to complete the final stage of the controversial Blue Whale game. This is the first such incident in Assam.
The 16-year-old, who hails from Narengi locality in Guwahati, was injured while carrying out some of the dares spelt out in the Blue Whale online game. He was rushed to the Guwahati Medical College and Hospital. Police had no details of the incident.
“We heard about it and went to meet the boy but the doctors said it wouldn’t be appropriate at this time. So we could neither see him nor could we get his name. However, we are watching this development,” Guwahati police commissioner Hiren Nath told New Indian Express.
