BENGALURU: Last year, Abhijay Vuyyuuru, Anubhav Bhardwaj and Lijo Johny took part in a hackathon in Malaysia. Little did they know that the app they designed would land them each a job with a hefty package. On Sunday, the trio -students of the integrated M.Tech programme at International Institute of Information Technology , Bangalore (IIITB) — shared their success story at the convocation ceremony .
They were hoping to begin their career with a decent package, they said, but this was something else. “We never expected to get a job…We were just participating at a tech event in Malaysia in 2016. We created an app, Augbot, related to the construction industry . On emerging as global winners, one company offered us internships, then jobs,”said Abhijay .
