Emraan Hashmi and Udita Goswami scorched the screen in Aksar, and eleven years later, Gautam Rode and Zareen Khan have stepped into their shoes in their film’s sequel. The trailer of Aksar 2 is out, and it looks like every other erotic thriller that hit the screens in recent times.
Going by the YouTube description, the story revolves around Mrs Khambatta (Lillette Dubey), an ageing owner of an empire. There is a plot to eliminate her, but it spirals out of control and nothing is what it seems. Random making out scenes between Mrs Khambatta’s governess (Zareen Khan) and her boyfriend (Abhinav Shukla) are thrown in.
Former Indian cricketer S Sreesanth also makes a blink-and-miss appearance in the trailer.
It looks like fans were not impressed by the trailer; many commenters wrote that Emraan Hashmi was missed. What also made Aksar memorable was its songs (remember Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa?), and Himesh Reshammiya’s chartbusters were also missed by fans in Aksar 2.
Directed by Ananth Mahadevan, Aksar 2 is slated to release on October 6.
