Priyanka Chopra‘s Hollywood debut Baywatch gave Gal Gadot’s superhero movie, Wonder Woman, a hard competition at the Indian box office in their first weekend. Both the films hit the screens in India on June 2.
Baywatch has minted more than DC’s latest venture, IANS reported.
According to the numbers provided to IANS by the production banner behind Baywatch, the film released in India on Friday across 948 screens, and its gross box office figure is Rs 10.1 crore.
Warner Bros’ Wonder Woman has received positive reviews worldwide and has been the highest grossing film of a female director for the first weekend. In India, however, the scenario is different.
