- With a daily increase of 52,509 in total cases, India’s tally of coronavirus cases has risen from 1,855,745 on Tuesday to 1,908,254 – an increase of 2.8%. Death toll has reached 39,795, with 857 fatalities in a day. India, the third-most-affected country by total cases and fifth by death toll, has added 376,585 cases in the past 7 days alone.
- The count of active cases reported across India has dcreased by 54 on a net basis, compared with an increase 6,941 on Tuesday. The states that have reported the biggest 24-hour jump in active cases are Andhra Pradesh (2,727), Assam (1,887), Uttar Pradesh (1,031), Telangana (860), and West Bengal (632).
- With 51,706 new recoveries, the most in a day so far, India’s recovery rate has increased to 67.2%, while death rate remains unchanged at 2.1%
