Jammu and Kashmir Police said Saturday that a woman was killed after she was caught in an exchange of fire during an operation amid an encounter between security forces and militants in Anantnag district of the state. The militants were using civilians a human shields, said a police official to PTI reporters. Rescue operations are underway.
Tahira,44, was rushed to a nearby hostipal but was declared death on her way, said officials according to PTI reports.
