Handwara, June 7: Terrorist Danish Ahmed, who was last seen in a video attending the funeral of Hizb-ul-Mujahideen commander Sabzar Bhat who was killed in an encounter, surrendered before the Handwara police in Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday, June 7. When the army approached Danish Ahmed, it was his parents who convinced him to surrender before the Handwara police. During the investigation, Ahmed told the police that he was in touch with terrorists of south Kashmir on social media and decided to become a terrorist on the instigation of the terrorists, he was in touch with.
Upon investigation, Danish revealed that most of the local boys in Jammu and Kashmir become disillusioned with ‘gun’ after joining militancy. He also confessed that the boys find it extremely difficult to surrender due to life threats from the commanders of the terror outfit.
