Weather Forecast for May 9 Across India

A feeble Western Disturbance is over North Pakistan and adjoining areas.

A cyclonic circulation circulation persists over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and adjoining Bihar. A trough is running from this system up to Northeast Bay of Bengal.Another cyclonic circulation is over Central Uttar Pradesh and adjoining areas. A trough is extending from the system up to North Interior Karnataka across Madhya Pradesh, Marathwada and Vidarbha.

The cyclonic circulation over Assam continues to persist.

One more cyclonic circulation is marked over Northwest Rajasthan.

Weather Activity in last 24 hours

During the last 24 hours, moderate to heavy rains were witnessed over many parts of Tamil Nadu, Rayalaseema and Kerala.

Scattered light to moderate rain and thundershowers were seen over North Interior Karnataka, Lakshadweep and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

 

Scattered showers were also seen over Madhya Maharashtra and South Madhya Pradesh, while isolated rains were observed over Vidarbha, Telangana, West and North Madhya Pradesh, East Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh and northeastern states.

Heatwave conditions gripped several parts of northwestern plains including parts of West Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, and Delhi-NCR along with parts of Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Telangana.

Weather Forecast for tomorrow

No relief is expected from severe heatwave conditions across northwestern plains but marginal drop in temperatures is expected over Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, parts of West Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Rajasthan during the next 24 to 48 hours.

Dust storm and thundershowers may occur over parts of Haryana, Central and East Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha region. Isolated activity is also likely over Delhi and West Uttar Pradesh.

Scattered rain and thundershowers are also expected over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Odisha, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Interior Karnataka, Kerala, and Interior Tamil Nadu.

Cities like Bengaluru and Hyderabad are likely to see weather activity during the next 24 hours.
