Weather Forecast for the week in India from April 17 to April 23

A feeble Western Disturbance will give light to moderate rainfall over Northern hills of India. Some rainfall activity is expected to occur over the northeastern parts of the country including Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. Let’s take a look at the weather forecast for the week.

North IndiaHeatwave is likely to continue over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana and Delhi till April 19. Heatwave will continue over many parts of interior Rajasthan and at a few parts of Gujarat and South Uttar Pradesh.

A feeble Western Disturbance will approach the hills of North India by April 19. This will give scattered light rainfall on April 19 and will increase by April 20. This rainfall activity will continue till April 23 over many parts of Jammu & Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh.

Around April 21-22, North Punjab will get good shower. Isolated rainfall will occur over Delhi and NCR with duststorm.

Central India

Dry weather will be the main feature of the week for most parts Central India including regions like Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha. As far as the temperatures are concerned, a rise in maximums is likely over many parts of Central India.

Around April 21, rainfall is likely over North Chhattisgarh and East Madhya Pradesh.

East and Northeast India

Northeast India will continue to witness on and off rains activity over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura. Rainfall will be seen over parts of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and East Bihar on April 18. The intensity of these rains will increase on April 19 and many parts of Gangetic West Bengal, North Odisha will get light rains till April 21.

Around April 22-23, Northeast India will get heavy to very heavy rainfall.

South India

Scattered light rainfall is likely over south interior Karnataka and Kerala can be seen on April 18 & 19. Around 20-22, good rainfall can be expected over this region including parts of interior Tamil Nadu. Coastal Andhra Pradesh will get light rainfall on April 19-21.
