Ministers or bureaucrats or for that matter any government official in Uttar Pradesh, save those engaged in emergency services, would stop using beacons or flashers in their official vehicles from Friday.
The decision taken by UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath, after Thursday’s midnight presentations of various government departments, is in line with Narendra Modi government’s decision to reduce ‘VIP culture’.
